Child rapist's jail term cut to encourage paedophiles to plead guilty
Alan Parker represented Mr Wilson, from Nechells, Birmingham, who worked at the city’s Little Stars nursery and was jailed for life with a minimum term of 15 years in July last year after admitting two counts of rape, 16 counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, 25 counts of making indecent images of children and three of distributing such images. In addition to appearing before the criminal courts at all levels, our members regularly appear before Courts Martial, the VAT and Revenue Tribunals, the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal, a wide range of regulatory bodies, including various sports governing bodies, and professional disciplinary tribunals.
We are highly respected in our work in the fields of Trading Standards and Consumer Law, Environmental Law, Food Hygiene, DTI/BERR/DBIS and Health and Safety investigations and prosecutions. In relation to Health and Safety, we have particular expertise in manslaughter prosecutions arising out of such matters. Some of our members have experience in specific regulatory fields such as building control / planning, liquor licensing, Gambling Act, auctioneering matters, and prosecutions arising under the regulation of hackney carriage and private hire taxis.
