Practice details

Instructed by both prosecution and defence in a wide variety of criminal matters, including homicide, firearms offences, allegations of serious offences of violence and public disorder,dishonesty of all forms, drugs offences, money laundering, rape and allegations of sexual offences against adults and children.  Grade 3 prosecutor.    Has experience of confiscation applications under various statutory regimes, including POCA,  and has been instructed in cases where substantial issues of disclosure / public interest immunity have arisen. Accustomed to dealing with defendants and witnesses who are vulnerable by reason of age or mental health issues. 

Recent instructions have included :

• instructed (junior) to prosecute a defendant charged with murder of his partner
• several (separate) cases involving rape, attempted rape, and sexual assault
• prosecuted cases involving sophisticated identity theft on a nationwide scale
• cases involving allegations of child cruelty (separate cases, prosecution and defence)
• instructed to prosecute cases involving large-scale public disorder, involving numerous defendants
• instructed to prosecute multi-defendant conspiracy to supply Class A drugs
