Crime and Regulatory 

Instructed by both prosecution and defence in the full range of criminal matters, including allegations of serious offences of violence and public disorder, dishonesty of all forms, drugs offences, firearms offences, and allegations of sexual offences against adults and children. 

Regularly instructed to prosecute cases brought by HM Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office, and by the Department of Work and Pensions.   

Experienced in cases involving substantial issues of disclosure / public interest immunity, confiscation proceedings under various statutory regimes, and cases involving mental health issues.

Frequently instructed by solicitors approved by a national trade union to represent members of the teaching profession in connection with allegations of sexual offences against pupils, charged with other criminal offences, or facing other allegations of misconduct.   Has experience of  appearing before the General Teaching Council with regard to allegations of professional misconduct.

Licensing 

Has been instructed to represent corporate clients and smaller retailers in connection with a variety of alcohol licensing matters.

Continuing professional development

Responsible for arrangements for mini-pupillage, within Citadel.
